Hull

Unlike other boat manufacturers, SAFE Boats International (SBI) builds a fully-functional hull to complement the added features of our collar system. They are constructed from marine-grade 5086 aluminum and are bilge-less, airtight and watertight with pressure-tested air chambers. As a result, SAFE Boats do not require forward movement in order to be self-bailing.

Normally when a wave hits a boat, energy is created against the hull. SAFE Boat hulls are designed to transfer this energy from the bottom plate and into the structure. This displaces energy in a natural direction, starting forward and flowing aft. We tie all of the ribs on the bottom of our boats to the keel-strip at an angle, then into the stringers, side-plate and transom. This allows the energy to be displaced over the largest area possible resulting in greater speed, maneuverability and smoother ride.

To date SAFE Boats International has never had a hull failure. We feel that the use of marine-grade aluminum as our primary hull material has furthered our reputation as an industry leader due to its many distinct advantages over fiberglass. From everyday care to the nature and frequency of repair, aluminum produces a superior finished product.
