SAFE Boats International delivers new Offshore Interceptor to Bahamian Government
Ft Lauderdale, FL (January 15, 2013): SAFE Boats International (SAFE) has recently manufactured a new 410 Apostle Series for the Royal Bahamas Police Force of Nassau, Bahamas where it will be employed as a law enforcement interceptor, emergency assistance and rescue platform.  The vessel delivered on January 7th, 2013 and was   acquired through a joint effort between the U.S. Narcotics Affairs Section (NAS) U.S. Embassy, Bahamas and the Bahamian  Government.  The Narcotics Affairs Section (NAS) at the U.S. Embassy, Bahamas administers and supports  counternarcotic affairs in conjunction with the Bahamian Government through the U.S Foreign Assistance Act.

The SAFE Apostle series provides unmatched performance in high speed interceptor vessels.  It is an offshore racing-inspired, high-speed interceptor vessel featuring SAFE’s patent-pending Forced Air Stepped Technology or “F.A.S.T.” which enhances speed, performance, and fuel economy. The unique hull design produces incredible handling characteristics and exceptional cornering performance.  The Royal Bahamas’ Apostle features thermal imaging, four 300HP Mercury Verado outboard engines, weapons mounting capability, autopilot, shock mitigating seats, GPS navigation, XDR-1 extreme duty reinforced collar system and is capable of speeds in excess of 54 knots (62 MPH) at full mission loads.

“We are extremely excited to provide the Bahamian government with the optimum solution in maritime enforcement  capability.  The production of the Bahamian Apostle is an excellent example of how we at SAFE Boats focus on collaborating with our customers to ensure they are completely satisfied with the entire process.  Knowing they are providing their operators with the safest and most capable interceptor vessel made is very gratifying.”

“The Royal Bahamas Police Force is proud to have Safe Boats as its partner of choice in the build out of our latest   marine interdiction vessel.  The vessel is one of the most technologically advanced marine interdiction vessels made to date.  It was built as a platform to secure the boarders of the Bahamas and to detect and apprehend persons involved in illegal activities within the territorial waters of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.  This vessel will target the illegal transportation of narcotics, migrants, firearms and currency.  From the planning/design state of the vessel and up to the completion of the project the Royal Bahamas Police Force has been pleased with the support and workmanship of Safe Boats. The entire project has been seamless and the  quality and the performance of the vessel has exceeded our expectations.  We look forward to our continued partnership with Safe Boats.”
