Responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products. Installs inboard diesel engines and jet drives, along with associated cables and wiring. Installs fuel systems and filters. Fabricates and installs main and auxiliary wiring harnesses. Installs, interfaces and connects a variety of components such as lights, radios, radar, sonar, heating and air conditioning systems, auxiliary generators, GPS, chart plotters, etc.

Field Support Tech ll - Tacoma

A SAFE Field Service Technician (FST) acts as a technical representative of SAFE Boats International to customers and industry partners during customer service calls.  This will require the FST to professionally interface with public, private, military, and law enforcement customers worldwide to provide the highest level of service in the field.  Service tasks will include service and warranty repair of hull, collar, propulsion, electronics, and HVAC systems. Understanding that each FST brings individual strengths and weaknesses to the job, a general understanding of SAFE Boats construction and integration is required of all technicians in addition to their personal areas of expertise.  In addition to the actual service tasks, the FST will also prepare quotes, appraisals, reports and the required documentation as needed, both internally for SAFE Boats and externally for the customers. BREMERTON - MIG Aluminum Welder

Under general supervision, performs complex welding in construction of hulls and buildings.  Builds fuel tanks, pressure tests hulls, installs house (cabin), or T-Top assembly on boat. Operates MIG welding machines, grinder, wire brush and other small hand tools. Secures small parts for assembly & welding, keeps work area professionally neat and secure.

TACOMA -MIG Aluminum Welder

Under limited supervision, operates welding equipment using appropriate GMAW techniques to weld aluminum plate and extrusion in all positions, occasionally in a confined space. Prepares weldments using tool such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tool, wire brushes and various hand tools of the trade. Basic interpretation of blue prints, drawing, welds symbols and schedules to layout patterns on material. Performs tack welding in the fabrication phase of construction and the Pre-fab of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks and pilot house using jigs and fixtures.
