Machine Operator - Machinist - Bremerton

Under general supervision Operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on metal. Set up and operate a VMC (Vertical Machining Center), Manual Lathe and CNC gantry style router to produce precision metal and plastic parts and components. Precision component makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical components. Marine Finisher ll Bremerton

Under general supervision, responsible for performing all marine finishing operations including minor painting, layout and installation of non-skid. Cutting and installation of floor mats, locker gaskets and protective coatings. Installation of seats, doors and windows.  Fabrication and installation of upholstered side panels and headliner.  Assists in boat cleaning and shipping preparations.  Floatation foam shaping and shredding.   Performs scheduled tasks and receives training and orientation in overall shop operations.  Makes entries in and maintains manufacturing paperwork for applicable Hull numbers.  Troubleshoots and solves construction problems in coordination with supervisor.

Quality Assurance / Fabrication - Bremerton

Assist in developing, executing, and monitoring the quality assurance plan with guidance from the Quality Assurance Department Manager.  Inspect completed fabrication work for weld quality and fitment.  Perform stress and strain testing, and dye penetrant examination.  Assist other departments with problem solving.  Audit processes and provide process feedback.  Write inspection, audit, and non-conformity reports.  Use the NCR database and other reporting tools. Marine Systems Installer

Responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products. Installs inboard diesel engines and jet drives, along with associated cables and wiring. Installs fuel systems and filters. Fabricates and installs main and auxiliary wiring harnesses.

Aluminum Welder - Tacoma

Under limited supervision, operates welding equipment using appropriate GMAW techniques to weld aluminum plate and extrusion in all positions, occasionally in a confined space. Prepares weldments using tool such as saws, routers, grinders, pneumatic cutting tool, wire brushes and various hand tools of the trade. Basic interpretation of blue prints, drawing, welds symbols and schedules to layout patterns on material. Performs tack welding in the fabrication phase of construction and the Pre-fab of sub-assemblies such as bulkheads, girders, decks and pilot house using jigs and fixtures. The operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, man lifts and other boat building equipment. Secures small parts for assembly & welding, keeps work area professionally neat and secure.
