Field Support Technician I - Tacoma

A SAFE Field Service Technician (FST) acts as a technical representative of SAFE Boats International to customers and industry partners during customer service calls.  This will require the FST to professionally interface with public, private, military, and law enforcement customers worldwide to provide the highest level of service in the field.  Service tasks will include service and warranty repair of hull, collar, propulsion, electronics, and HVAC systems. Understanding that each FST brings individual strengths and weaknesses to the job, a general understanding of SAFE construction and rigging is required of all technicians in addition to their personal areas of expertise.  The FST will function on a regular basis using independent judgment based on the individual locale, customer, and vessel situation to ensure the best possible outcome for both SAFE and the customer.  MUST BE A US PERSON  - MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ITAR View the full job description


Vessel Training Specialist

Develop and maintain training and certification programs to include: Vessel operation and maintenance, SAFE Boat Trainer training, SAFE Boat Operator training, SAFE Boat Engineering training and SAFE Boat Deck Hand training. Review vessel contracts for training requirements and schedules. Operate vessels in sea trials as needed to support production, customer acceptance, and service jobs. Works directly with customers to assess and develop customized training programs and quotes. The Training Specialist must be a self-starter with excellent skills working in both independent and team environments, excellent customer service skills, have a strong work ethic, and the social compatibility necessary to be deployed from home for prolonged periods.
