Naval Architect Weights Manager

Job description:
Bachelor’s Degree Required, PE preferred- responsible for full spectrum of engineering analyses pertaining to design and fabrication of aluminum work and patrol boats 65ft and larger. Job’s emphasis will be on weight management, structural engineering and optimization analyses of aluminum hull structure to ISO, ABS, and other recognized standards and industry best practices, performing and/or reviewing stability analysis to a variety of applicable standards, and towing, lifting and mooring system design. Additional engineering scope may include, but is not limited to: HVAC calculations; hull and system CAD modeling; speed and power prediction; propulsion systems sizing and analysis, seakeeping and maneuvering predictions; noise and vibration analysis; and analysis of test and sea trial data, general arrangements and ergonomics review. Design for production, operation, and maintenance is emphasized. Position requires the ability to provide effort as needed to meet deadlines.
