Manufacturing Engineer

Responsible for directing and supporting a full spectrum of manufacturing process engineering activities.  Evaluates, developes and implements process improvements utilizing knowledge of production and design. The Manufacturing Engineer works collaboratively with other engineering and operations resources to plan, evalutate and improve manufacturing processes.  Develops programs to keep production on schedule and meet customer requirements. Analyzes layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency of the plant. Aluminum Welder

Under general supervision, performs complex welding in construction of hulls and buildings.  Builds fuel tanks, pressure tests hulls, installs house (cabin), or T-Top assembly on boat. Operates MIG welding machines, grinder, wire brush and other small hand tools. Secures small parts for assembly & welding, keeps work area professionally neat and secure.

Naval Architect/Engineer

Responsible for full spectrum of engineering analyses pertaining to design and fabrication of aluminum work and patrol boats up to 65 feet and larger. Job responsibilities emphasis will be on structural engineering and analyses of aluminum hull structure to ISO, ABS, and other recognized standards and industry best practices. Additional scope of structural engineering includes, but is not limited to, equipment foundations, and towing, lifting and mooring fitting analysis using the most appropriate tools ranging from hand calculations to full FEA modeling and simulation.

Marine Rigger/Electronics Technician

Responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products. Installs outboard motors or inboard diesel engines and jet drives, along with associated cables and wiring. Installs fuel systems and filters.
