Marine Finish & Painters

Under general supervision, responsible for performing all marine finishing operations including painting topsides and bottom, layout and installation of non-skid, cutting and installation of floor mats and locker gaskets, installation of seats and windows, and fabrication and installation of upholstery.  Controls boat manufacturing paperwork, schedules tasks, and receives training and orientation in overall shop operations.

Marine Rigger/Electronics Technician

Responsible for the installation of electrical and mechanical components on SAFE Boats products. Installs outboard motors or inboard diesel engines and jet drives, along with associated cables and wiring. Installs fuel systems and filters. Aluminum Welder

Under general supervision, performs complex welding in construction of hulls and buildings.  Builds fuel tanks, pressure tests hulls, installs house (cabin), or T-Top assembly on boat. Operates MIG welding machines, grinder, wire brush and other small hand tools. Secures small parts for assembly & welding, keeps work area professionally neat and secure.

Numeric Control Machinery Operator, Mill, Router, Manual Lathe

Under general supervision, responsible for setting up the NC machinery each day and running a calibration program to assure accuracy of the cutting process.  Assures cutting table is set up properly and accuracy is maintained throughout daily cutting operations.  Using forklift loads aluminum sheets onto cutting table.  Assures cut parts are accurately cut, and ready for the next steps in the manufacturing process, and are moved to the correct locations following cutting.  Assembles cut parts into pallets by boat number.  Material is very large sheet of primarily aluminum in varing thickness.

Mechanical Engineering Technician

Be a part of a dynamic team, bringing future SAFE Boats alive. Apply theory and principles of mechanical engineering to modify, develop, electrical and mechanical components under direction of engineering staff. Develop and prepare detailed drawings in AUTOCAD or Invertor that include various views, dimensions and tolerances, fasteners and joining requirements (welding), sectional profiles, assembly and subassembly drawings from sketches, marked-up prints, layouts, 3D models, photographs and SBI and 3rd party manufactured products.

Naval Architect/Engineer

Responsible for full spectrum of engineering analyses pertaining to design and fabrication of aluminum work and patrol boats up to 65 feet and larger. Job responsibilities emphasis will be on structural engineering and analyses of aluminum hull structure to ISO, ABS, and other recognized standards and industry best practices. Additional scope of structural engineering includes, but is not limited to, equipment foundations, and towing, lifting and mooring fitting analysis using the most appropriate tools ranging from hand calculations to full FEA modeling and simulation.
