Press Brake Operator


Looking for a motivated and  experienced Press Brake Operator.  Accupress and Heller roller machinery each day including running a calibration program to assure accuracy of the process.  Assures machinery is set up properly and accuracy is maintained and monitored throughout daily operations. Must be trainable for the use of a forklift, to load aluminum and other alloys into machinery.  Attention to detail and internal customer focused.


Hours:

Full time
Swing 3:15pm to 1:45am M-Th

Depends on Experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Setting up the Accupress and Heller roller machinery each day including running a calibration program to assure accuracy of the process.
  • Assures machinery is set up properly and accuracy is maintained and monitored throughout daily operations.
  • Using forklift, loads aluminum sheets onto machinery. 
  • Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten material.
  • Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gages and hand tools.
  • Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades, or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gages, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
  • Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.
  • Assures parts are accurately cut, bent, sorted appropriately and ready for the next steps in the manufacturing process.
  • Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gages, calipers, templates, or rulers.
  • Clean and lubricate machines.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Prior CNC Machinery experience.
  • Prior experience with 100 ton press.
  • Prior experience with Heller rollers hydraulic plate bending machine preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of all manufacturing operations and procedures relating to numeric control machinery and associated cutting tables.
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications in relation to position responsibilities.
  • Mechanical and Electrical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Must have strong work ethics including excellent attendance record.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to multitask effectively.

  • Comfortable in treating Manufacturing craftsmen, technicians and operators as a highly valued customers.
  • Organized, disciplined and logical problem-solver.
  • Enthusiastically participates in continuing education for new, more complex job skills.
  • Encourages documenting continual improvements as part of a team.


Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to life up to 50 lbs & move larger loads
  • Position requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks
